Slow Cooker Bourbon Smokies

I am a huge fan of something you can cook ahead of time that also doesn’t require the use of a stove or oven.  In comes this slow cooker recipe!  It is fairly simple, makes the house smell amazing and you set it 6 hours in advance and then you can either take the slow cooker and leave it out with toothpicks next to it, or put the food on a nice plate.

Prep Time: 10 minutes   Total Time: 6 hours 10 minutes   Serves: 10-12 servings

Ingredients you need to cook this shit:

  • 2 lb. Cocktail Weiners
  • 1 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup of Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup of Bourbon
  • 1/3 cup of finely chopped Shallot
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, minced

Directions to cook this shit:

  1. Chop the shallot and mince the garlic.  In a small slow-cooker, combine the cocktail weiners, brown sugar, ketchup, bourbon, shallot and garlic.  Stir to combine and cover.
  2. Cook on high until the bourbon smell has cooked off, 6 hours.
  3. Serve with toothpicks.
