I am a huge fan of something you can cook ahead of time that also doesn’t require the use of a stove or oven. In comes this slow cooker recipe! It is fairly simple, makes the house smell amazing and you set it 6 hours in advance and then you can either take the slow cooker and leave it out with toothpicks next to it, or put the food on a nice plate.
Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 6 hours 10 minutes Serves: 10-12 servings
Ingredients you need to cook this shit:
- 2 lb. Cocktail Weiners
- 1 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 cup of Ketchup
- 1/2 cup of Bourbon
- 1/3 cup of finely chopped Shallot
- 3 Cloves of Garlic, minced
Directions to cook this shit:
- Chop the shallot and mince the garlic. In a small slow-cooker, combine the cocktail weiners, brown sugar, ketchup, bourbon, shallot and garlic. Stir to combine and cover.
- Cook on high until the bourbon smell has cooked off, 6 hours.
- Serve with toothpicks.
